MUSICAL THEATER: BROADWAY VILLAINS!
Please
Note: This program takes place at Breakwater School
and is open to any student from any school, in
grades K-2.
Sing, dance and act your way through some of the
silliest villain moments from Broadway (and Movie!)
Musicals! Explore the complicated and fun world
of the colorful characters that create the real
drama in these stories. From Cruella Deville to
The Wicked Witch, and from Scar to Jafar – Brush
up your evil laugh and get ready for Broadway
Villains!
BROADWAY
VILLAINS meets on Thursdays from 3:45PM-4:45PM,
for 6 sessions starting on March 9, 2017, at Breakwater
School
(856 Brighton Avenue, Portland). There will be
one family sharing presentation at the end of
the final class on April 13. Registration is handled

FOR AGES 5-6
MYTHICAL CREATURES
Calling
all dragons, unicorns, and mermaids! Through dramatic
play and interactive storytelling, students will
create an original play about Mythical Creatures.
This exciting weekly This exciting weekly program
will culminate in a fully-costumed performance
for an invited audience of family members and
friends. Mythical Creatures is a beginning
acting class that doubles as a great introduction
to both play-making and the STAGES community and
programs.
MYTHICAL

MY SCHOOL MUSICAL! (April
Vacation Camp!)
A
STAGES classic and one of our most popular programs!
Write and star in your own Musical Theatre production
based on YOUR own (real or fictional!) school
experiences. Students will work together to write
an original show, then choreograph and rehearse
the scenes -- with a final staged reading for
family and friends at the end of the week. This
"page to stage" camp is a great outlet for singers
and dancers with big imaginations and creativity!
MY
SCHOOL MUSICAL is a vacation week daycamp and
will meet daily, from 9:00AM-3:00PM, Monday through
Friday, April 17-21, 2017 at the

Aboard the ocean
liner S. S. American en route to England, nightclub
singer/evangelist Reno Sweeney joins forces with
her pal Billy Crocker to help Billy in his quest
to win the heart of Hope Harcourt-- but the problem
is Hope is engaged to the wealthy Lord Evelyn
Oakleigh. Joining this love triangle on board
the luxury liner are Public Enemy #13, Moonface
Martin and his sidekick-in-crime Erma. All's well
that ends well, with the help of some elaborate
disguises, tap-dancing sailors and good old-fashioned
blackmail.
This

"little stars" will create their own

PIRATES OF THE HIGH SEAS!
July
is Pirate Month at STAGES -- kids in all three
of our age groups will have the opportunity to
experience the fun mischief of Pirate-themed theater
camps. In this camp, students will create their
own original play about the ocean adventures of
sea-faring friends on big pirate ships of the
high seas. Guided play-making activities, production
design and lots of creative play abound!
This

PIRATES OF PENZANCE JR

On
his 21st birthday, Frederic, having served the
full length of his required time as a Pirate,
decides to strike off on his own and become an
upstanding citizen – which may even mean bringing
the pirates to justice. Thus turns out to be a
tricky prospect indeed, especially when Frederic's
freedom is called into question!

With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish
community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters
and instill them with traditional values in the
face of changing social mores and the growing
anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia.
